Slate
The classroom slate, where every reader and writer starts. Letters, sounds, sentences, and the habit of thinking clearly on the page. Skip those steps and every subject after gets harder.

Strong foundations,
in reading & in code.
A small, two-person practice. Jamie teaches kids the reading and writing skills everything else is built on. Zardon builds websites and smart, AI-assisted tools for the organizations that serve their communities.
</> About the name
Two crafts, one idea: get the foundation right.
Syntax
The grammar of code: the structure that makes a website load fast, read well, and keep working. Good syntax is invisible to visitors. They just notice that everything makes sense.

We keep our client list small on purpose. It lets Jamie give every student real attention and lets Zardon stay close to every project. New families and organizations come to us through people we already know and work with.
